Roles of a TA

1. Managing the group
   • Making sure everyone is included
   • Individually approach people if necessary
2. Managing activities
   • Dealing with the practicalities of teaching
3. Managing learning
   • Preparing and presenting the information gathered about the subject

Expectations

1. Because it makes people feel more comfortable with one another
2. Icebreaker is something that makes people feel engaged and comfortable - even through awkwardness.
3. Expectation towards the students:
   • Relative interest
   • Eagerness to learn
4. Expectations from the students:
   • Punctuality
   • Availability
   • Being approachable
